Our founder, Samuel Kobrick, inspired by the energy, ambition and greatness of New York City at its peak in the 1920s, seeded the ground for the generations of Kobricks that would carry on his legacy.
Now pushing onward, after 105 years, into a second century, the timeless excellence of our coffees, that helped to define NYC as the City that Never Sleeps, arrives at your door at the peak of freshness.
We source sustainably grown coffee, partnering in Direct Trade and with Fair Trade, Organic, and Rainforest Alliance certifying bodies. We offer notable and distinctly delicious Single Origins, along with our esteemed beloved Blends! Our roasting facility is under USDA Certified Organic and Star K Kosher supervision to ensure compliance with the highest standards. Our chief coffee Buyer and our Roastmaster, together with all of the Kobrick Coffee production, service and customer service team, have each devoted most of their professional lives and all their passion for excellence, in commitment to working with the Kobrick Family to create memorable coffee experiences every day.

Our roasting facility is Certified Organic and Star K Kosher. Our coffees include Fair Trade Certified, Shade Grown, Direct Trade, and Rainforest Alliance Certified Selections.

SOURCING
Our network of coffee farms has been shaped by Stuart Vander Schauw, since 1993. His knowledge & connections are integral to sourcing the best ingredients we use in every roast.
ROASTING
Drawing inspiration from the 105-year legacy of Kobrick’s and a lifetime of coffee experience, from picker to Master Barista to Roastmaster, Wally Corrales, craft roasts our select coffees to their peak level, illuminating the distinctive character of each individual region, estate and farm with a mastery rarely achieved in a lifetime.
THE LAB
In advance of the final leg of the trip from Origin to Roastery, Green coffee gets sniffed, slurped and vetted one final time on the well-worn spoons and heirloom cupping table in our training lab. Here is where the hand-picked seeds we call coffee beans, with all their magic yet hidden, get their first spin in the drums of a Kobrick roaster, our vintage sample roaster from Jabez Burns, to ensure that all the qualities taken from the first samples at origin will be realized in each and every bag of Kobrick Coffee.
PACKAGING
Kobrick whole bean coffees are packaged in one-way valve bags, allowing them to be packed and sealed before the post roasting gases have escaped, maximizing the integrity and authentic flavor. Our pre-packaged ground coffees available to our Wholesale clients are packed fresh after degassing and sealed in nitrogen flushed pre-portioned bags to support various batch sizes. They are ready for immediate use in any foodservice environment where quality and consistency are the primary objectives.
