At our certified organic roasting facility we are commited to puchasing coffees from sustainable farms, giving back to our community through charitable organizations, and doing business with an empasis on being green. We are also a member of Cup of Excellence and promote Direct Trade coffees; coffees purchased direct from the farmers.

Fair Trade Coffee ensures that the farmer receives a fair price for their coffee, and coffee farming families may benefit from education, healthcare, and housing. Fair Trade Coffee also ensures the coffee was grown using sustainable methods including bird friendly, shade grown, and organic farming techniques that protect the environment.

The Rainforest Alliance Certified seal verifies that farmers follow sound agricultural practices that protect forests, rivers, soils and wildlife, while being good community neighbors. Rainforest Alliance certification also guarantees that workers have just wages, dignified living conditions and access to education and health care. The mission is to protect the ecosystem and the people and wildlife that depend on them by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior.

The Coffee Kids program is one of our small ways of giving something back to the families who grow coffee. Coffee Kids volunteers establish and support educational programs, health care training and economic development building stable, long-term local programs that will serve communities in years to come.

With our Tiger Stripe Reserve Rainforest Alliance Certified Espresso we donate 15 cents for every pound of coffee we sell to the International Fund for Animal Welfare. The organization heads campaigns for animals in crisis around the world. Surviving tigers inhabit areas that are also coffee growing regions such as Indonesia and we use an Indonesian selection as a composition of the espresso blend. Kobrick Coffee is connected to the issue and hope we can do a small part to save wild tigers from extinction.
